Fervent Prayer - Teaching & Prayer Nights

What is fervent prayer? The phrase comes from James 5:17 in reference to Elijah’s weather-altering prayers. To pray fervently is to pray effectively, powerfully, in faith. Many of us are afraid or hesitant to ask God to accomplish something specific. What if he does not answer? What if we pray for the wrong thing? Can we really demand anything from God? These are all legitimate questions that must be answered in light of God’s word and then put into practice in prayer.


In the season before Easter 2018, we learned and practiced fervent prayer during a series of Friday evening prayer nights. Teaching from each session is shared below:
