Exodus 17 describes Israel’s great victory over Amalek. Israel prevailed as long as Moses held up his hands. When Moses got tired, Aaron and Hur held up his hands as Joshua and his men continued to fight. Exodus 17:12 says that Moses’ hands were STEADY until the battle was over.
This is what we need today. We need men who are present, responsible, and courageous. By cultivating these qualities together, we can experience significant victories in our homes, churches, and communities. Jesus Christ is STEADY in loving us, helping us, and saving us through his sacrifice on the cross and victory in the empty tomb. As we follow him, we too can become STEADY men.
