Advent is a time of remembering and rejoicing in the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, as we look forward to His coming again. We will celebrate this season leading up to Christmas together in several special ways.
‣ ADVENT READING GUIDES
This year, we are offering "The Promised One" as a printed 4-week devotional to help us reflect during the Advent season starting November 27. Each week centers around an aspect of Jesus' identity. These booklets are available in household folders, with a limited additional supply available in the foyers.
You may also enjoy the downloadable options, "Good News of Great Joy" and "The Dawning of Indestructible Joy," available in various formats from Desiring God.
Also for kids, "The Jesus Storybook Bible" has a free downloadable Advent kit, which includes music, coloring pages, ornaments, memory verse cards and more.
‣ ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: THE GOOD AND BAD THEOLOGY OF CHRISTMAS HYMNS AND CAROLS
During this Advent season, we will once again sing familiar hymns about the birth of Christ. We will listen to familiar Christmas carols on the radio and find ourselves humming along. But how often do we stop to truly listen to the lyrics and contemplate the truths they express? Together we will look more deeply into these lyrics and compare them with the Biblical truths about this most magnificent gift which God gave to mankind.
Join us for this special 3 week Sunday School series beginning December 4 at 9 a.m.
‣ "HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED" ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS SERMON SERIES
This Advent and Christmas season, we will focus on Isaiah 9:6
and other passages to consider the prophesied identity of our Savior and how each aspect affects
our relationship with Him.
This Sunday series starts November 27 at 10:30 a.m. You can always find our latest messages on our Sermons page.
‣ CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE, DECEMBER 24
You are invited to our special Christmas Eve service Saturday, December 24 at 7 p.m. as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
We hope you are refreshed and encouraged during this season of joy and anticipation as we celebrate the birth and coming of our King Jesus!
