What to Expect

If you're new to Chatham or interested in visiting, we welcome you. We want to help you grow in your relationship with God through His Son, Jesus. Below you can learn what to expect on a typical Sunday morning at Chatham.

Visiting on Sunday

Please note: We've made significant modifications to best serve our community during this time. Masks and physical distancing are required for all in-person meetings. Please see our COVID-19 Response page for the latest updates.

Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in our Worship Center. You will be welcomed by a greeter who will direct you to a table in the entry foyer where you may pick up an individually wrapped Communion kit if you wish to participate in our time of Communion later in the service.

An offering plate is also available on the kiosk in the foyer, but feel free to just walk in and join us if you are visiting. Giving is an expectation for our members, and we are glad to simply serve you as a visitor.

Our service usually opens with a welcome and Scripture reading after which we worship in song and prayer. This is followed by teaching of God's Word and a time of Communion. Song words are projected to help you join us in singing.

For parents, our nursery for up to age 3 is located in our Chatham Kids' area and available throughout the service. Older kids, ages 4-8, are released for Children's Church just before the sermon on most Sundays. You can walk your children to the foyer where a children's worker will take them to class. If you have questions about where to drop off or pick up kids, feel free to ask a greeter.

Finally, there's no particular dress code here. Some of our members are most comfortable worshiping in casual clothing and some in more formal dress. We simply want you to focus on Jesus in order to know and worship Him.
