What to Expect

If you're new to Chatham or interested in visiting, we welcome you. We want to help you grow in your relationship with God through His Son, Jesus. Below you can learn what to expect on a typical Sunday morning at Chatham.

Visiting on Sunday

Please note: While the description below describes a typical Sunday at Chatham, we've made significant modifications to best serve our community during this time. Please see our COVID-19 Response page for the latest updates.

Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in our Worship Center. You will be welcomed by a greeter who will offer you a bulletin explaining the service and what's happening at Chatham. You may want to stop by our Welcome Center in the main entry foyer if you have any questions or would like to know more about coming events.

Our service usually opens with a welcome and several worship songs intermixed with prayer, followed by teaching of God's Word, a time of Communion and a closing song. Song words are projected to help you join us in singing.

An offering is taken during one of the songs prior to the sermon, but feel free to just pass the plate if you are visiting. Giving is an expectation for our members, and we are glad to simply serve you as a visitor.

We do invite you to fill out a Visitor Information card and place it in the offering plate or return it to the Welcome Center so we can get to know you.

For parents, our nursery for up to age 3 is located near the gym and available throughout the service. Older kids, ages 4-8, are released for Children's Church just before the sermon on most Sundays. You can walk your children to the foyer where a children's worker will take them to class. On Family Worship weekends, kids 4 and up stay in the Worship Center for the entire service. If you have questions about where to drop off or pick up kids, feel free to ask a greeter.

Finally, there's no particular dress code here. Some of our members are most comfortable worshiping in casual clothing and some in more formal dress. We simply want you to focus on Jesus in order to know and worship Him.
