Kids & Youth
We care about your kids and want them to know and love Jesus. We also take safety seriously, requiring background checks and training for all child and youth workers. We offer the following ministries for kids and teens. Special event dates can be found on our calendar.
Nursery (up to age 3)
Nursery care up to age 3 is available during both Sunday school and worship, and for many special events. Our nursery rooms are located near the gym.
Sunday School (all ages)
Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. Child and youth classes are organized by age group as follows:
Children's Church (4- to 8-years)
Children's Church is for 4- to 8-year-olds during the morning service. Children are released to gather outside the Worship Center just prior to the sermon. They are then escorted to classrooms with others in their age group to learn about Jesus and the Bible.
Kids' Connection (4 years to 5th grade)
Kids’ Connection is a place for kids from 4 years to 5th
grade to make friends and learn about Jesus through God’s Word, music, games
and fun nights. We meet Wednesdays, September to April, from 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m.
It’s free to attend, and kids can start anytime throughout the year. You can register your kids here.
Vacation Bible School (4 years to 5th grade)
Our summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) is for 4-year-olds to students who just completed 5th grade. This is a free week of investigating God's Word to learn more about Jesus and have fun with games, prizes, crafts, snacks, new friends and lots of surprises.
Junior Camp (grades 3-5)
Junior Camp is our summer camp for students who just completed grades 3, 4 or 5. We take a few days away from the city to explore God’s creation and learn more about Jesus with fun activities and games, good food and great company.
The Upper Room Youth Group (grades 6-12)
The Upper Room is our Youth Group for grades 6-12 (ages 11 and up). We meet Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. We get together for worship music, good discussion about life and who Jesus is, and time for games or just hanging out. We also have special events throughout the year, including camps, retreats, mission trips, fun nights, holiday parties and even NERF wars.
Kid & Youth Sermon Notes
Sermon note sheets for kids and teens are available on the children’s activity shelf in the hallway just outside the Worship Center. These sheets can help with engagement during the worship service.
